Parents often find the costs of child care overwhelming. But many families may find that they are eligible for subsidized child care through the Champaign County Department of Job & Family Services.

CCDJFS helps qualified families access and afford child care through publicly funded child care assistance. Caregivers must be participating in one or more of the following approved activities:
- Paid employment on a full-time or part-time basis.
- A training or education activity that prepares the caretaker for paid employment.
- Requirements set forth as a result of participation in Ohio works first (OWF) or the supplemental nutrition assistance program (SNAP) incuding:
- Have income at or below 130% of the poverty level
