Champaign County Department of Job and Family Services

Champaign County Department of Job and Family Services provides individuals with supportive services as they enter the workforce or while being trained. These services may include assistance with living expenses, health coverage and work-related expenses such as work clothes, gasoline, and other transportation needs. ASPIRE

ASPIRE (Clark State Community College) provides free classes for adults pursuing their GED or wanting to improve literacy skills for work or prepare for college or technical school.

Ohio Department of Job & Family Services

Ohio Department of Job & Family Services provides services for NAFTA-affected workers, conducts re-employment assessments to help recently unemployed workers return quickly to work and to help dislocated workers enter training for employment in “in-demand” fields.

Veteran Services (ODJFS)

Veteran Services (ODJFS) provides access to special employment and training programs for veterans of the U.S. military as well as other resources that are geared to the veteran and their family. Opportunities for Ohioians with Disabilities

Opportunities for Ohioians with Disabilities (OOD) is the State of Ohio agency that partners with Ohioians with disabilities to achieve quality employment and independence. We also make determinations on Social Security disability.

OOD does this through three areas:

    • Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation
    • Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired
    • Divistion of Disability Determination.

    OOD works with partners in business, education and non-profit organizations to facilitate customized employment plans for Ohioians with disabilities; help Ohio companies recruit and retain employees with disabilities; and is the sole agency administering the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) programs in Ohio.
