Champaign County Department of Job & Family Services Adult Protective Services (APS) helps ensure the safety and well-being of local aging citizens.Adult Protective Services are provided to the elderly who are in danger of harm, unable to protect themselves, and have no one else to assist them. This agency is mandated to investigate and evaluate all screened in reports of suspected abuse, neglect and exploitation of adults age 60 and over. Reports are received, investigated and, support for protection and self-sufficiency is offered. Adult Protective Ongoing Services strives to enhance the quality of life for Champaign County residents by supporting the delivery of health and human services programs and activities.
CCDJFS receives reports twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. To make a report of suspected elder abuse, neglect, or exploitation, call 937-484-1500 and ask to speak to Intake. For after-hours reports, call the Champaign County Dispatch Center at 937-653-3409 and ask that the on-call children/adult services worker be paged. If you believe that the adult is in immediate danger of serious harm, call 911. To report via the online ODJFS portal visit aps.jfs.ohio.gov.
