Champaign County Department of Job and Family Services (CCDJFS) works to ensure that the children of our community have safe and stable homes.CCDJFS receives reports twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. To make a report of suspected child abuse, neglect, or other maltreatment, call 937-484-1500 and ask to speak to Children Services Intake. For after-hours reports, call the Champaign County Dispatch Center at 937-653-3409 and ask that the on-call children services worker be paged. If you believe that a child is in immediate danger of serious harm, call 911.
Non-emergency reports of child abuse, neglect, or dependency may be made by phone, in person, or in writing. If intervention is needed, the agency will determine the appropriate level of intervention by assessing the family situation. Some individuals are required to report suspected child abuse, neglect, and dependency (Section 2151.421 - Ohio Revised Code | Ohio Laws). Those include, but are not limited to:
