Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides the framework for a workforce and employment system designed to meet the needs of employers, job seekers and those who want to advance their careers. The goal of WIOA is to increase employment, job retention, earnings and occupational skill attainment by participants. WIOA provides employment and training services that target adults, dislocated workers and youth and are provided through our local One Stop, housed within OMJCC.

WIOA services has so much to offer to the job seeker which includes, but not limited to, the following:

• Financial assistance for training in in-demand fields;
  
• Financial and supportive services to assist with costs associated with the training (i.e. travel, uniforms, immunizations, etc);
• On the Job Training;
• Apprenticeships;
• Special grant opportunities.
