Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), supplements the purchase power for people with low incomes to obtain nutritious food.SNAP is issued by the USDA through county job and family service departments and are used to purchase specific staples and grocery items at participating grocery stores. Eligibility, determined by the agency, is based on federal guidelines including income and household size. The SNAP program also offers a wide array of workforce development services to those families participating.
EligibilityWe look at your gross monthly income (before taxes) to determine if you may qualify. SNAP is a needs based program. Work activity participation will be determined at application.

How Do I Apply?You can file an application in person during regular business hours, by mailing in a completed application, dropping an application in our drop box (In parking lot outside the BMV), via email at Champ_FoodCashMedical@jfs.ohio.gov or by faxing a completed application to 937-484-1506. You can also apply online at Self Service Portal Home Page (ohio.gov).
